1. Customer as Controller
The hotel or property determines why guest ID data is collected, how long it is kept, who can access it, and when it is deleted or exported.
2. Veera ID as Service Provider
Veera ID provides tools to capture, extract, review, store locally, and push guest details into the customer's hotel PMS workflow. Veera ID does not sell guest data.
3. Categories of Data
- Guest ID image captured by staff or guest phone.
- Extracted guest fields such as name, address, and zip code.
- Front desk workflow metadata such as timestamp, source, and review status.
- Support information voluntarily shared by the customer.
4. Processing Purpose
Data is processed to speed up check-in, reduce manual entry, support clerk verification, maintain a guest log, and help staff push verified details into the hotel PMS.
5. Local Storage
Guest logs and ID images are designed to be stored on the customer property computer unless the customer chooses to export, back up, share, or delete them.
6. Subprocessors
Depending on deployment, Veera ID may use service providers for website forms, hosting, payment processing, licensing, support, and AI text extraction. Customers may request current subprocessor details during onboarding.
7. Deletion and Export
The desktop app is intended to support manager-controlled search, export, and deletion workflows. Customer administrators remain responsible for retention and deletion policies.
